I contracted Adler Building to add a 1,700 sq. ft. addition onto my existing house in Berkley. They added a new basement, family room, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Parts of the existing house were also remodeled and a few rooms were expanded.

I was very impressed with the quality of work and the quick response from Joe on any issues that came up during the process. If Joe told me he would get something done in a certain time frame, that’s what happened. He was very easy to reach and easy to work with during the construction. 

The part I’m most impressed with is that Adler finished the entire job on schedule! We also stuck to the original budget with the exception of a few changes I made during the final phases of the job.

 We hired Adler Building Company to build a full 2nd floor and a 2-story rear addition to our home. On the 2nd floor we have 3 bedrooms, a full bathroom and a master bedroom with a full bathroom that has a whirlpool tub and a separate shower and a large walk in closet. On the first floor we moved our kitchen and family room into the new rear addition adding new cherry cabinets, granite counter tops and hardwood flooring. It’s like a new home but in the same neighborhood that we love so much. The home has been up dated inside and out. We were impressed all the workers from the planner to the last finish trim carpenters and how flawlessly everything was handled. When we hired Adler building we had no idea that we would see Joe Sterbling running this job from the beginning until the last inspection. We were able to live in our home while it was under construction and the whole job was completed in 99 days. Thank you Joe Sterbling for the enjoyable experience and the price was right! 

 The purpose of this letter is twofold; one is to thank you for a job well done and secondly to provide you with a reference/letter of recommendation. Admittedly, when we started our remodeling project, the size and scope of the project (1,400 sq. ft. second floor addition) had us excited but apprehensive and anxious at first. The thought of ripping the entire roof off of the house and basically building a house on top of the house, all while still living in the existing home was scary at best. Once we started construction, it did not take long for you to remove any negative worries from our minds, allowing us to enjoy making our dream of building an upstairs come true. IN today's construction industry, it is truly a rare experience to find a contractor who does what he says he is going to do, when he says he is going to do it and for the price he quoted. You really exceeded our expectations at all levels.  We would recommend Adler Construction to anyone looking to improve their home. We originally had Adler Construction add a dining room addition to our house, and had such a great experience that we hired them back for an entire second story addition. There are several reasons for our success in dealing with Adler. Integrity: Up front pricing ensured that I paid exactly what was agreed to in the contract and not a penny more. There were no hidden fees or late mark-ups for labor or materials, which made it possible for us to do the improvements on a tight budget and ensure that we wouldn’t go over. Fast and Friendly service: Adler’s tradesmen were trustworthy, professional and friendly, which is important when someone is going to spend that much time in and around your house. Experience: We added a second story to our house in the late fall when there is the threat of severe weather. Adler strategically planned each step according to the weather and we didn’t get a drop of water in the house as they removed roof sections for the dormers. Flexible options: You can do as much or as little of the finish work as your budget allows. We originally planned to sell our house and move to a larger one in the area. We did the math and it turned out to be more cost effective to have Adler make our house exactly what we wanted, rather than to try and sell in the market and buy a new one.  Adler Building did an outstanding job remodeling our dining room/living room and kitchen. We had several walls removed to open up the area as well as had to have electrical and drywall work done. Their prices are very competitive and they started and completed the job in a timely fashion. All the individuals that entered our home were professional and friendly. Mike the electrician had quite a job to do moving all the wires around as well as our drywaller (his name escapes me) but you honestly can't tell where all the walls were removed and outlets were moved or installed.
